About the Role

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, qualifying and converting leads into customers through telephone, email and video calls. You manage your own pipeline, track progress in our CRM, and hit monthly targets while maintaining strong customer relationships.

You report directly to the Sales Manager and collaborate with marketing and customer success teams. Success means consistent monthly revenue targets, positive customer feedback, and a track record of closing deals in your assigned territory or vertical.

  • Prospect and qualify inbound leads and outbound targets using research and discovery calls
  • Conduct product demos and negotiate terms to close sales within 30–90 days
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and forecasting; prepare weekly/monthly reports
  • Build long-term relationships and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Meet or exceed monthly quota (typically CHF X in pipeline or Y closed deals)
  • Participate in sales training, product updates and team meetings

Must-Have Requirements

You have 2–5 years of inside sales or account executive experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, software or services. You speak German and English at business level; French is a plus if your market includes Romandy.

You are results-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable with rejection. You own your pipeline, manage time independently, and thrive in a metrics-driven culture.

  • Proven track record closing 3–8 deals per month; experience with sales cycles of 30–120 days
  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken); French, Italian or Romansh beneficial
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, HubSpot or similar CRM; Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
  • Strong communication, active listening, and objection-handling skills
  • Swiss tax residency or valid work permit (C permit holders preferred; B permit acceptable)
  • Reliable internet and quiet home-office or office setup if hybrid/remote

Nice-to-Have & What We Offer

Experience in your industry vertical, certifications (e.g. Sandler, SPIN, LinkedIn Sales Navigator), or a track record of remote sales are bonuses. Candidates from neighbouring regions (Germany, France, Liechtenstein) who understand Swiss market nuances are especially welcome.

We offer competitive CHF salary (60,000–80,000, depending on experience), 13th-month bonus, 4 weeks' holiday, accident/health insurance contributions per GAV standards. Home-office options, professional development budget, and transparent career pathways are standard.

  • Industry-specific sales certifications or advanced CRM training
  • Native or near-native French or Italian (especially if covering multilingual regions)
  • Experience selling to SMEs, mid-market, or enterprise segments
  • Competitive base salary CHF 60,000–80,000 + performance bonus (typically 10–15%)
  • 13th-month salary, 25 days' holiday, LAMal/KVG health insurance subsidy, Pensionskasse
  • Flexible work location, annual learning budget (CHF 1,500–2,500), home-office allowance

Frequently asked questions

Should I include a specific salary in the job ad?
Yes. Swiss candidates expect transparency. State a range (e.g. CHF 60,000–80,000 based on experience) rather than 'competitive'. This reduces unsuitable applications and builds trust. Always clarify if the figure is for 100% Pensum or adjusted for part-time roles.
What Pensum should I advertise?
Inside Sales roles are typically 80–100% in Switzerland. If you want part-time or fractional roles, say so (e.g. '60%, with option to scale to 80%'). Candidates planning family leave, semi-retirement or portfolio careers will self-select. Always state Pensum in the headline or first paragraph.
Where should language requirements go in the job description?
Place language requirements in the Must-Have section, not buried in the footer. Be specific: 'German C1, English B2, French B1' or 'German and English at business level; French a plus.' This attracts the right candidates early and respects Swiss multilingual reality.
